Although we didn’t secure the $75,000 grant this time, we are proud of the way we came together to support the Phoenix Trail.

(AD) About a year ago I decided to stop drinking soda all together and have switched over to mainly drinking water. I hated how I felt before my switch I was always sluggish and just never felt my best. Ever since I made the choice to drink more water not only do I feel better but my skin looks better too 😉. More recently I have incorporated going to the park to walk some laps. I really wanted to go to the park instead of just walking on the treadmill so that I could enjoy the outdoors. Plus while I`m out walking I get to brainstorm some craft and holiday ideas. It`s a win win!
When I go to the park I make sure to take my drinkniagarawater so I can stay hydrated. I also make sure to take my dogs potable drinking bowl so I can give them some Niagara water too.
Niagara is actually still hosting the Perk Your Park 2023 Project. This year 9 parks are in the running. Head to the link in my story or bio to select your favorite and to give them a chance to win a $75,000 park renovation.

Today Kieran and her sweet little bestie Kaylani went to Peninsula Park and had a great time. They walked through the beautiful rose garden and smelled the fragrant smell of the flowers and ran as quick as they could to the playground.
This is Kieran’s favorite park. This park was an absolute favorite for mom growing up as well.
Her passion along with mine when I was a young girl was smelling the roses and playing relentlessly in the playground.
Niagara Water is revitalizing local parks across the nation with a $75,000 refresh.
We would love to see Peninsula get a lovely refresh.

Checking in with my daughter about her day at school is definitely something I look forward! Our weekly check ins sometimes take place at our local park! While we are enjoying each other’s company, we are sure to stay hydrated!

09.18.2023 | Childhood is a holistic process, different for each individual child. Many children do not learn effectively exclusively within a classroom. They need alternative, hands-on learning environments to match their varied learning styles. And I believe parks can help.
My husband and I value the time we spend in city parks, whether it is a quick walk or picnic with the kids. Along with these expected leisure amenities, parks can also provide measurable health benefits, from providing direct contact with nature and a cleaner environment, to opportunities for physical activity and social interaction.

After a long weekend sometimes mama just needs a moment to herself.
One of my favorite things to do when I am feeling stressed or overstimulated is to head to one of our local parks. I like to go on a walk on the trails to calm my mind a bit. Sometimes I take a notebook to try and write my thoughts out while other times I sit and just listen to the sounds of nature
